Antelope Audio Compatibility with macOS Golden Gate 27
Compatibility Status
Please note that macOS Golden Gate 27 is not yet officially supported by Antelope Audio.
Although official compatibility has not been confirmed, Antelope Audio devices are generally expected to function normally on macOS Golden Gate 27, provided that the necessary drivers are installed and the configuration steps outlined in our Apple Silicon compatibility guide are followed.
For detailed instructions on configuring your Mac, please refer to our official guide:
Antelope Audio Compatibility with Apple Silicon (M1/M2)
As macOS Golden Gate 27 has not yet been officially certified, we cannot guarantee full functionality or rule out unexpected compatibility issues.
Setting Up Your Antelope Audio Device
If you are using an Apple Silicon Mac (M1, M2, M3, M4, or newer), please follow these steps:
Download and install the latest version of the Antelope Launcher.
Follow the instructions in our Apple Silicon Compatibility Guide to configure the required system security settings and enable the appropriate Antelope Audio drivers.
Open the Antelope Launcher and install or update the required software and drivers for your device.
Restart your Mac if prompted.
Make sure Rosetta 2 is installed, as explained below.
Important: The security settings and driver installation procedures may vary depending on your device and macOS configuration. Please follow the relevant instructions carefully.
Installing Rosetta 2 on Apple Silicon Macs
While the Antelope Launcher runs natively on Apple Silicon, certain software components, including the Manager Server and some device Control Panels, still require Rosetta 2 to operate correctly.
Rosetta 2 is Apple's translation technology that allows software developed for Intel-based Macs to run on Apple Silicon processors.
To ensure these components function correctly, we recommend installing Rosetta 2 before launching your Antelope Audio software.
How to Install Rosetta 2
Method 1: Using Terminal (Recommended)
Open Finder and navigate to Applications > Utilities > Terminal.
Enter the following command:
softwareupdate --install-rosettaPress Return (Enter).
Follow the on-screen instructions and accept the license agreement if prompted.
Once the installation is complete, close Terminal and launch your Antelope Audio software.
Method 2: Automatic Installation
Alternatively, macOS may automatically prompt you to install Rosetta 2 when launching an application that requires it.
If the installation prompt appears, simply click Install and follow the on-screen instructions.
If Rosetta 2 is already installed, no additional action is required.

Native Apple Silicon Support – Current Status
Our development team is actively working toward making the entire Antelope Audio software ecosystem fully native on Apple Silicon.
Other software components, including the Manager Server and certain Control Panels, continue to rely on Rosetta 2 for proper operation.
We are working to transition these components to native Apple Silicon support to provide improved integration and long-term compatibility with future macOS releases.
